Monday January 5th or Tuesday January 6th?

I’ve heard both but I’m not sure what day is correct.
I don’t want to send my kids to school on the wrong day?

Please help…Thanks

Where I am from we go back the sixth. That Monday is usually used for a teacher’s work day, that means no school for kids!

   its the 6th i showed up and was told so lol ya i went to school when we didn’t have to go
