For my best friends birthday, (March 31) i want to take him to a concert. My main choice is the Colin Hay show at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica on the 22nd but it is sold out 
What are some other good shows in the South Orange County region that are either at the end of march/beginning of april? He likes Five for Fighting, John Mayer, Colin Hay, Dave Matthews, and of these types. Suggestions, thanks!

OK Go @ the House of Blues Anaheim on March 20.
Missy Higgins @ Orpheum in LA on March 21.
Cold War Kids @ at the Orpheum on March 27.
The Hotel Cafe is one of my absolute favorite venues, but they haven’t posted their late March / early April concerts yet, so I’d encourage you to keep checking their site for updates. I know for a fact that a really awesome local singer is going to be performing there in early April.
Coachella is mid-April. If you got him tickets for that, he’d probably officially declare you as the most awesome friend who ever lived. : )
