I doubt there is any law against it. If he had physically assaulted your father, or threatened to, that would be different. My dad has early onset AD; he got violent in a restaurant and we had to call the police (yes, WE called the police, not the restaurant). Someone outside the restaurant was laughing at my father (who can barely speak) as he tried to talk to the police. My mother yelled at them to stop laughing at someone who was sick and the police told my MOM to shut up and said nothing to those mocking my father.
I’m a little confused why you would bring someone with Alzheimer’s to a situation that was bound to be confrontational. If I had to go to something like that, I’d leave my dad at home. It’s just asking for trouble.

There is no Law that states that a person cannot yell or insult another person, or else a whole lot more people would be in jail. The only known laws that I know of that could apply would be disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct (but only if another person in the vicinity was offended or disturbed by the man's words or profanity). If he he was being vulgar and using profanity, some States and localities actually have profanity laws (such as VA. Beach for example). If the yelling was racially motivated (which you would have to prove), it could be classified as a hate crime, but only if physical violence was involved.

While highly undesireable it is not illegal to yell at someone. Unless
1. They threaten you with bodily injury
2. Or commit Libel

yes you can it is classed as a tort which is verbal assault on a individual

sorry to say this but your dad probley doesnt remember it. I used to take care of Alzheimers residents and unless he does maybe you should yell at him. or if you need then call the non emergency #

sorry but the first amendamant includes freedom of speech and unless he was saying threatening things then no u cant press charges
