Hi all! I’m doing some research for a school project on non-profit organizations in Austin, Texas. I’d really appreciate some help with compiling a list of charitable programs of the Barsana Dham Temple in Hays County. If you have any information on this, please respond. Thanks!
Yes Barsana Dham do fund hospital and projects in india, but they are also involved in many local projects including: "Hand’s on Housing" – repairing houses in texas; "Clean Sweep Austin"; providing care and accomodation to people who’s homes were damaged etc. "Stride for chai" etc. Why not visit Barsana Dham & ask them personally?

I know of some charities that they do in Austin but since I am from west coast I have not participated in those. I have visited the hospitals in India they built for thousands of poor people who otherwise would not have any access to medical care. The services there are offered free of charge. The lines are mile long in the morning from all the neighboring villages of people seeking medical care. They also provide free meals on festivals to thousands and thousand of people. it is a place that you really have to see to know the impact they have on those poor and needy people.
They are also funding some schools in India.
I hope this information helps you in your project.

Hi,
I visit Barsana Dham Ashram sometimes. I have seen that they are doing massive charity work in India. All these charity works are headed by Shree Swami Prakashanand Saraswati ji. He has been tirelessly spending every minute of His life in constructing schools for underpreviledged hospitals for the poor and place of worship for humble devotees.
Words are hard to describe how much He is doing for the society.

I have been to India and have seen the charitable hospitals and other charitable projects firsthand. They provide free medical care to hundreds of poor people every day, in areas that otherwise don’t have access to care. They also distribute food, utensils, blankets and clothes to the poor on a regular basis. It is important and amazing work that they are doing. I know that Shree Swamiji himself works tirelessly on these projects, planning and even distributing the items. I feel he is a shining example of how to live a devotional and charitable life.
