I am thinking of majoring in math and becoming a teacher but , from the research ive done there are noooo jobs in texas other than in kileen. Im looking for more of the travis or hays county area. Just wondering if there are any teachers out there who could shoot me some advice or if teachers are just in such high demand as they were?
Teaching jobs are hard to come by right now, but you have some time. Also, majoring in math will make you even more desirable. Good luck to you!

Right now times are tough everywhere. But it sounds like you have a few years to go with your education
so things could turn around by the time you finish, especially in the science and math fields. One hint: try to do your student teaching in the area where you want to teach, and you may have an advantage when jobs do open up.
