How would you feel….?

Ok so ive been boarding at this place wich i dont like at all and ive been realy pissed off with them and im planning on moveing but i just found this review on the stable i board at…. if you read this review how would this make you feel??? persoanly it makes me want to move even faster. And I can verify that some of the stuff the person said is true the other stuff im not sure about only becuase it was before i was there.

It was the worst and most un safe stable I have ever boarded at or even seen!!!! horses are being caught in fencing, going days without water, moldy hay being fed to them, workers that are in and out of jail, drunken man living on the property that has been sexually harassing the younger girls that come out to the stable for 4-H, un safe horses they are putting kids that have never been on a horse several children bucked off never telling anyone that the horse is un safe and one a young child had to be life lighted because they put her on a horse that bucks and did not tell anyone that the mare bucks, this child spent seven days in argent care and fifteen days in the hospital for testing and making sure the blood in the brain was going down and not in need of sugary, this child got bucked off one year ago and still has blood on the brain and still can not function correctly. They also put another child on a horse and sent them to show at the county fair and the horse had three broken ribs and the owner of the horse and stable knew but did not tell anyone, the stable has had to put three horses to sleep because the all had very horrible cases of colic and one horse broke her neck do to being left tied in the stall for hours with out anyone in barn by the stable owner, the owner has had several reports of stalking the child that got life lighted at the county fair, I had to stop the stable owner from verbally abusing one of the children that was boarding at the stable. I was at this barn for too long and could not take the horrid things that I saw had to stop the animal and child abuse that has happened from this stable. All of the thing’s I have mentioned I have seen.

I will NEVER conceder This Stable to be a safe place for the people and horses!!!!

also how would you feel if a review like this was written about the stable you boarded at?
Um no I havnt asked this question at all? the only question like this was asking how you would feel if your horse got drenched as a way of discipline wile its freezing outside.
I do Plan on moveing the only problem is finding a place that will take 3 horses for self care. I think I found a place i realy like and im going to talk to my mom and see if we can go see it this weekend. Also just for clarrification we dont have a trainer at the barn.
I wish it were as simple as takeing my horse away right now. I have NO WHERE to bring them and no meens of transportation. If i could I would have gotten out of ther a long time ago. Also im haveing a hard time convinceing my mom to move becuase she doesnt think its this bad, but it is. I think i have finaly convinced her however. And as soon as i find a new place im moveing my horses out.
I also must say that some of the things written in the review dont have the full story to them. The girl who road the horse with the broken ribs, no one knew the horse had broken ribbs. The horse had just gotten back from a lease and the people leasing the horse had dropped her off without the owners knowledge. Also the horses cant go waterless becuase there are automatic waters in all teh stalls and all work, its just that some dont like them and have to drink out of buckets wich are supposed to be the owners responsibility toi fill. even though any good horse person would most likly fill up a horses bucket if it was empty.
Thye one asbout life flight im not sure on but everything else I know is true and Im trying my best to get my horse out of there, but its very hard i dont have any place to bring them. If i had the choice they would have been out of there several months ago.

Why do you even ask this question? Run fast. Run far.

RUN. Get on your horse and RUN. That stable neglects horses, and that’s against the law!

I would feel worried! heck, I might take my horse somewhere else that night, even, if it was possible! Well, for one thing, the trainer is obviously not qualified to teach! Putting anyone on a horse that is known to buck without their knowledge is 100% unacceptable! And, if its true that horses go days without water…run! Horses positively must have water all the time! when I horse gets dehydrated…it’s not pretty! And the moldy hay, well, that’s just downright dangerous! Feeding a horse moldy hay can give them numerous issues and illnesses! The answer is very very simple. Move ASAP.

And, just a few tips on choosing a new barn,
Make sure that the facilities are well kept, with no nails sticking out, or anything else that a horse could get hurt on, like barbed wire, rusty metal, or gaps he could get a hoof or leg through. Look at the other horses there. Do they have shiny coats, clear, alert eyes, friendly attitudes, and good muscle tone, and body condition? Do all of the horses have fresh water available, and does the hay smell fresh?
Also, make sure that you like the environment, and people. Try and find an instructor, you really like, and seem to agree with.
I really hope this helps you and your horse out! I wish you luck!

I would be angry probably and worried about my horse. I would move my horse as soon as possible no matter the cost. IAt a stable like that I would also feel ucomfortable and you SHOULD report it someone that can fix like ASPCA or something if they see horses going days without water they will say soemthing as for riders getting bucked off there is usually that rule of "Ride at your own risk" if it isn’t there own horse they are riding there should be a restraining order. I would deffinately move as quickly as possible and report this.

I’m going to support you whilst I dicipline you. If you read something like this, DON’T even go ona question website while your horse could be dying, or being abused. Plus, if this were my horse, and i read this, I would have taken my horse away without talking to those people again. What you do is you call the ASPCA about what they have done, and who wrote this report? It has terrible spelling, grammar, ect, and I personally hada tough time understanding this. It’s like a 4th grader’s first report ever! So get off your computer, get a trailer and take that horse away! I don’t care where, but as long as you thoroughly go through their farm. ask for a tour! If they refuse, walk away because that means they are hiding something. your horse and the other ones there deserve another chance so worry about your horse first, then call the ASPCA or visa versa. Just be sure to have them taken care of!
Good luck! and please do call the ASPCA!

I would think that it’s hard to believe that all this is going on at one barn, and if I had any reason to believe that all this WAS going on, I would call the ASPCA to come out and take a look around.

Otherwise, I would think that someone who can’t spell is making up a lot of stories in order to make trouble. These stories seem incredibly unlikely and over the top; I’d want to know who wrote it before I decided if I could believe any of it.

If I DID believe any of it, my horse wouldn’t live there.

I think that this is a horrible stable! I would move as fast as possible, and report them to the police, and the SPCA. this is now right. I can’t believe that they can even think of doing this to the children let alone the horses. I am so sorry to hear that. Good Luck at a new stable!

Get out. Now. Get yourself and your horse far away from there and call the police. Some of that is animal abuse, and not to mention the harassment!!
There are usually places where you can rent a trailer or hire somebody to trailer your horse for you. Search it on google, look in the phone book, talk to horse people who don’t go to that stable. JUST GET OUT BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO YOU AND/OR YOUR HORSE.

well first of all if you seen this in the newspaper or something and you thing your barn is just fine then it is most likely not true but they are just warning people about this place so no one else gets hurt or anything. but if i was you i would move it sounds like a bad place to be and i wouldn’t stay their any longer that i have to. well you could always ask other people at tack store and stuff if they know any barns in your area that would let you do that. but if you go online or ask some people or put a flier up you can find a person to trailer your horses. that is what i did and i got someone with in a few days. but good luck with finding a new place to board your horses.
