Go to ant Feed and see Store, you will find them listed in your phone book. You usually will have to drive some distance, however it is so worth it, as every thing you need you can get there so much cheaper in bulk. You should call ahead to make sure this one has it in as not all Feed and seed stores will carry guinea pig products.

Okay . So in about a month , is my county fair . My horse will be there probably all 4 days . At my barn , he is not fed hay or grain , and he’s on pasture 24/7 . What should I feed him during the fair , since he’ll be stalled all night & part of the day . Also – Should I do the same for State ? & What should I bring ? So I can get it before the show . PLEASE HELP ! Thanks in advance ! (:

I would feed just grass hay or maybe alfalfa pellets if you want a grain-ish all feed. Really you should ask your instructor or the owner of the facility that you keep your horse at. You should probably do the same for state just so it’s not toying with your horses stomach and immune system too much. Make sure you start gradually adding feed into your horses diet before the show just so you don’t surprise him or his stomach and you wont have problems with it.

Bring all of your grooming supplies, brushes and hoof picks are super important. Show Sheen or a spray that makes your horse’s coat shiny and glossy. If your horse is white you’ll probably want some spot out just incase he gets brown/green spots from sleeping in poop (which isn’t uncommon) in the stall. Bring a small sewing kit incase an article of clothing breaks. You will definitely want back up boots or boots and half chaps (if you’re showing English) incase something goes wrong with that.
You’ll also want to bring a bill of sale/bill of lease for registering for classes and such unless that has already been done. You will need a hay net and shipping boots for trailer rides, all of your food etc for the horse. I’m sure you could go online and look up lists or what not because I know I’m leaving a lot out.. But my advice would be to look up a list to make sure you have everything youll need. Good luck and have lots of fun!!!

i’m budgeting for county fair, as you may have read in my other question… anyway, i’m wondering what kinds of things you suggest i have for the show since i’ll be there for two, maybe 3, days straight (for my horse). i only have one water bucket, as the ones used at the barn belong to the barn, but i’ll bring my horse’s grain pan and grain scoop for feeding, plus we have a giant utility bucket from home depot in the garage… will that be enough? and i plan on bringing a wheelbarrow, and i’m thinking about investing in a stable fork as well. if i don’t buy my own i’ll borrow from the barn probably. i have one extra halter and lead rope, my sister is showing her horse as well so we’d share it, plus my horse’s showmanship halter and she has her showmanship halter as well. (so i think 5 halters and leads will be safe enough, don’t you?) we’re bringing hay bags and hay from the barn, is it an absolute necessity to have a bale bag to carry the hay in? we’ll have our first aid kit with us, with a human one in the car.

what other things do we need? this will be my first time at fair, i’m going with my 4-H club (and we’re the biggest club in the county so ill have lots of friends and help). any other tips? i need to figure out what i’ll need to buy in these next few months so i can budget.

thanks!

Label everything that is yours – Fairs are notorious for things to magically disappear.

For your grain, take plastic bags and pre bag your portions, so all you have to do is open the bag and dump. Hay storage you can use the 55gal contractor bags – again label your bag, your horse is used to his hay, and it all starts looking the same after a few days.

Does your horse do well drinking away from home – mine did not like the city water, and we had to bring water from home for the first day, and mix in the other water.

If your club does not have a barn duty schedule see about setting one up, that way you all get to enjoy the fair, someone is always at the barn, be sure you have a card with your emergency contact number to put on your stall, with your vets name and number as well.

Get your paperwork in order – does your county require a premise ID on your registration form? ours does now, be sure to get that from the barn owner, if needed

Reevaluate your vaccinations – do you need an influenza booster?

Those are a few of the not so obvious things I can think of at the moment….

Teaching jobs are hard to come by right now, but you have some time. Also, majoring in math will make you even more desirable. Good luck to you!

I believe it may refer to the early wagon ways used in the North East coal mines, specifically that which ran past George Stephenson’s cottage. I hope someone from the County can help fill out the blanks.

Hi!

For the ones in Nuevo Leon, you would go to the "Registro Civil" on the corner of Dr. Coss and Washington Streets in downtown Monterrey, capital of Nuevo Leon. For the ones in Coahuila, probably in Saltillo in the Registro Civil.

If you write them, you might want to put it to the attention of:
"Departamento de Investigaciones", to prevent it fromgetting in the hands of someone who files and forgets it. First Class (airmail) Mail service is about 2 weeks from the US, plus response time. Nothing we can do about the mails though there is FedEx, UPS and DHL.

If you need further help on the ground, I might be able to help you.

Good Luck!

now i know i’ve posted this before but i really want more feedback!

PROLOGUE-
“Sorry I’m la-“ a pistol was pointed straight at my face as I entered the crowded class room.
“Stay away from our son!” Mr. Holcomb shielded Daniel from my puzzled gaze.
“What’s going on?” I stared pleadingly at my classmates for answers, only receiving shameful gazes and fallen heads.
“We know what you are, Riley Anne. All of us do, and we want you to leave,” Daniel’s mother clutched her son without looking at me.
“Wha- What do you mean?” my stomach shriveled up to the size of a quarter and my knees buckled. Mrs. Holcomb pulled an old video cassette from her jacket pocket and released Daniel, slowly trudging towards the TV. On the screen, an image flickered. The video of our experiment with the professor in his office flashed across the ancient glass. It looked terrible.
“Who the hell gave you this!?” I slammed my hand on the desk, denting its hard black surface. Lucas slithered out of my bag and hovered silently, only inches from my head.
“We have a reliable source,” my teacher, Mr. Underwood, pulled the tape from the TV.

Chapter 1 – Party
It rained the whole car ride to Aunt Kathryn’s house. Everything about the cold, dark sky reminded me of my Aunt’s unwavering forbidding stares. I didn’t know why Daniel and I had been invited. Perhaps Aunt Kathryn needed to perfect her biting wit or had grown bored insulting the neighbors in muttered undertones behind a mendacious smile and lukewarm tea. If not for Daniel, who slept restlessly in the passenger seat as if he too felt the oppressive clouds bearing down on him as they drew nearer, I wouldn’t have even considered going.
The drive form Baltimore to Buda was unbearable. The landscape grew darker as we approached my Aunt’s house. Passing over the Hays county line, a cold sensation trickled down my spine, as if I were pursuing death itself.
“Whoa!” Daniel jerked forward in his seat, slapping his forehand on the window of my Xterra.
“We just passed the county line,” I warned him, glancing at a six car pile-up on the opposite road.
“Oh,” Daniel whispered hesitantly, rubbing his slightly bruised hand, “How much longer?”
“About ten minuets so get ready,” I took the exit leading through a maze of trees, fading the atmosphere to pitch black aside from the faint glow from my headlights.

“This is her house?” Daniel stared in disbelief at the un-kept lawn.
“It’s farther back, you dummy,” I giggled faintly at his assumption. The last giggle I would probably have for an eternity, or at least a week. Suddenly in the blackness of the lawn, a two dim porch lights flickered in the darkness. The silhouette of a petite figure leaped out one of the mahogany front doors. Racing towards us was my Aunt Kathryn’s daughter, Helen. I always loved to see Helen, especially when she visited without Aunt Kathryn. It was usually her that kept me from a spiraling depression during visits. Her blonde, curly hair bounced playfully in my face as she constricted me with her thin arms.
“Riley Anne! I’ve missed you so much! Come on! Come inside!” Helen pulled her silk baby blue night robe from the clutch of a dead rosebush inside the wrought iron gate, “Here, Daniel, let me help you.” Helen elevated our two massive suite cases in each arm, trudging up the wet grey stones. Auth Kathryn’s house was far too big for her pigmy self. There was an unoccupied second floor; the only exception was the bedroom. Below was a formal dining room gathering dust for twenty years, connected to a kitchen the size of a custom restaurant only used by Helen and the butler, Herbert. Finally there was a formal living room and a stunning tea room, commonly inhabited by the miniscule Aunt Kathryn herself.
“Allow me?” Herbert waited directly inside of the doors, prepared for anything we threw at him.
“Yeah, Herb. Take these to the two closest guest rooms, please,” our suit cases hit the tile with a massive THUMP! echoing for endlessly through the vancant halls.

I think you have a great way of describing things, I’d read it. I don’t quite get the prologue – who’s Lucas? And what is the connection between the prologue and the first chapter. Besides that, I could really feel what Riley Anne was feeling, could picture the aunt’s home. You have a good way of making the reader feel like they are there, with the characters in the story.

Come on! Come inside!” Helen pulled her baby blue night robe from the clutch of a dead rosebush inside the wrought iron gate, “Here, Daniel, let me help you.” Helen elevated our two massive suite cases in each arm, trudging up the wet grey stones. Auth Kathryn’s house was far too big for her small self. There was an unoccupied second floor; the only exception was the bedroom. Below was a formal dining room gathering dust for twenty years connected to a kitchen the size of a small restaurant only used by Helen and the butler, Herbert. Finally there was a formal living room and a stunning tea room, inhabited by the small Aunt Kathryn herself.
“Allow me?” Herbert waited directly inside of the doors, prepared for anything we threw at him.
“Yeah, Herb. Take these to the two closest guest rooms, please,” our suit cases hit the tile with a massive THUMP!

Hahahah, well i am assuming you ill explain a little better later but your writing isn’t amazing, but okay ( I am not saying mine is :p) It is kinda interesting, i definitly liked it

We’d need to replace all of the doors (4) & windows (15) because they have been vandalized. The decks & porches at all of the entryways also need repairs. And I think the roof may need to be redone, but can wait until the spring. The inside of the house looks great but I’m not sure what condition the furnace, septic or well are in because the house has been empty for more than a year. There’s also a 2 car garage & a pole barn that’s about 100X200, on the back of that there’s an addition with 6 horse stalls. Another barn that’s huge & has 13 stalls for horses. large area for tack & 2 separate mounds for hay & straw, but it needs a new roof badly, the doors need to be replaced & stalls need new wood as well. Farm on 11.5 acres in St. Clair County, Michigan. They want $115,000 but I’m thinking more like $85,000 & no more than $90,000 because of everything that is wrong, is offering that much under the asking price unreasonable.
It’s bank owned & I know that banks don’t like to own houses

First question, how long has the sellers been sitting on this property, are they in a hurry to sell? If they are desperate give them an offer of 89,999 if they accept when you have the appraisal done ask for the seller to give you credits, that will lower the purchase price buy whatever it is that needs to be repaired. Also this could be an important investment if you can fix it up and sell it even if you plan to live there for a while fix it up and sell for a profit. Ive flipped three pieces of real estate and all of them have been purchase significantly under asking price and have sold for over100% of my investmant. Good Luck.
